BASIC TRAINING
7 TO 10 YEAR OLD
FOCUS
Training basic speed, quickness, coordination, agility, balance,
flexibility, strength and power
Teaching the basics of essential techniques like dribbling, ball control,
trapping, heading, shooting, corner kicks, penalty kicks, goal kicks, free
kicks and passing
Teaching "Pre-Tactical" basics such as "scoring with
combination play"
PRINCIPLES
At this age level, athletic training should be emphasize the basics of team
play in an age-appropriate way
With regard to the concept of "safe combination play" this means
teaching basic techniques dribbling, passing and ball control
Simple practice game on two goals enable players to start picking up the
most important techniques right away
INTERMEDIATE TRAINING
11 TO 12 YEAR OLDS
FOCUS
Will learn all basic soccer techniques with practice games, and using
demonstration and corrections to refine them
Improving technical speed, quickness, balance, flexibility, strength
and power
We teaching about position on the field "goal keeper, defender,
midfielder, forward the specific job for each position"
They will also learn about line ups "4-4-2, 3-5-2", offensive
and defensive corner kicks and free kicks "setting up the wall"
Systematically teaching the essentials of group and team tactical for
the "Big Game" For example the basic combination patterns
PRINCIPLES
At this age level, training should focus on developing basic techniques
and tactics in simplified game situations
The best way to do this is small-sided games which can be modified to
highlight particular technical-tactical elements
ADVANCED TRAINING
13 TO 14 YEAR OLDS
FOCUS
Stabilizing, refining and expanding the basic technical-tactical
repertoire and adapting it to the increased demands of match play
Focused training for specific elements of individual, group and team
tactics such as
Positional roles within the team
Changing the rhythm and area of play
Safe attack building and game on the wings
PRINCIPLES
This age level is also very promising in terms of focused improvements in
soccer performance
The demands of technical-tactical training must be increased as players�
abilities improve, especially in terms of speeding up plays and increasing
opposition pressure
Build practice sessions around a systematic set of exercises focusing on
specific technical-tactical concepts.

15 TO 19 YEAR OLDS
